Foie Gras Demo’s in Leeds

Posted: June 18, 2010 in Uncategorized

Campaigners in Leeds today protested at restaurants and hotels who serve foie gras.

First of all was the Hilton Hotel, who sold foie gras on one of their menu’s. After the start of the protest, the manager came out and discussed the matter with campaigners and stated that it will now be perminantly removed from sale.

Last of all, we visited Brasserie at West Park but following them being closed until later in the afternoon we held a protest outside their sister-business West Park Cafe & Deli. After 10 minutes, we spoke to the owner who stated that foie gras will not be sold again and a statement will be issued.

Foie Gras Targets Released

Posted: June 15, 2010 in Uncategorized

A list of establishments serving and selling foie gras has now been listed on our ‘Targets’ page, with details of those companies sick enough to be serving the delicacy of despair.

Protests and civil disobedience actions will begin shortly against those listed, but in the meantime please contact them in disgust.

Please note: If you are one of those organisations listed as serving foie gras, we ask that you remove it from sales and issue us with a statement to confirm the establishment has done so – westyorksanimalrights@hushmail.com
